The American Red Cross in Greater New York has identified the Mastic and Mastic Beach communities as being a vulnerable area for those needing smoke alarms within their homes.
On Wednesday, May 1st, our department, joined by the Mastic Beach Fire Department and Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services will be hosting the Red Cross ‘Sound the Alarm’ Event.
Members of the Red Cross and both of our fire departments will be traveling through our communities to install smoke alarms to families in need free of charge!
If you are in need of a smoke alarm in your home, you must sign up in advance.
