120 Years of Combined Service to Mastic FD

Ex-Chief Pete Rosato and Ex-Chief Don Ruben have together dedicated an impressive 120 years of service to our community.
Ex-Chief Pete Rosato is being recognized for 70 years of service this month. Pete joined the Mastic Fire Department in May of 1954. He was an active firefighter who worked his way through the officer ranks culminating in him serving as Chief of Department from 1960 through 1962. Pete provided dedicated service to our department while working in his career as a full-time truck driver.
Ex-Chief Don Ruben is being recognized for 50 years of service this month. Don joined the Mastic Fire Department in February of 1974. He was an active firefighter who worked his way through the officer ranks culminating in him serving as Chief of Department from 1987 through 1988. Don provided dedicated service to our department while working in his career as a full-time employee of the William Floyd School District.
Ex-Chief Gene Martucci was honored for his many years of service in the officer ranks and as the outgoing Chief of Department for 2023
Jason Lasek was honored as the outgoing 1st Lieutenant for 2023
